Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club - Great People, Great Racers since 1929

Last Updated August 26, 2014

Tyee is a non-profit organization run by members. Only our coaches and one part-time administrator are paid. Our success depends on the many volunteer hours that parents donate to the Club.  We have the good fortune to have dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who work together in teams (and have fun doing it).

Minimum Volunteer Commitment

Every family in the Club is expected to volunteer each season as follows:

A Minimum of 8 Days Total Which Can Include:

  • Work shifts in the Tyee Kitchen
  • Donate one item to the Silent Auction
  • Help with on-snow safety (you do not have to be able to ski to help)
  • Set up and tear down training courses
  • Help at Club races (again, you do not have to be able to ski)
  • Chaperone one trip (U14 and U16 families)

Volunteering is necessary for the functioning of our club, but it is also a great way to meet other members and to see your kids developing new skills and friendships.

In addition to the minimum volunteering contribution, we welcome help in these areas:
