Dustin Koepke Named Vst Head Coach

Dustin Koepke returns to the Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club as head coach of the Vancouver Ski team.  Koepke is taking over the U18/U21 program from Quentin Ciudad. After a successful season as VST head coach Quentin decided to return home to France.

Tyee Program Director Mike Janyk said there were a number of quality applicants for this position but from the start Dustin was a leading candidate.

“Dustin stood out for his passion and commitment to the BC ski racing system, understandings of the sport and motivation for continued development as a coach.”

Dustin brings with him over ten years of ski coaching experience. He first worked with the Big White Ski Club before spending three seasons with the Tyee Ski Club advancing up to U16 head coach.  Koepke returns to the coast region after a stint as the associate head coach for the Okanagan FIS (U18/U21) team.

Dustin describes himself as an energetic individual with a passion for promoting an active and outdoor oriented lifestyle.  He says he couldn’t be more excited to be back working with the Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club.

“I have always wanted to come back to the coast and with the VST job opening up I thought it was a great opportunity.  I want to bring high energy and strong work ethic to the team.  My goal is to help these athletes grow into themselves through a program that supports them through all the challenges this sport has to offer.”

You can currently find Dustin running Dryland with his team at Mahon Park on Tuesday and Thursday nights between 5pm and 7pm.
