A New Way To Support Our High Performance Athletes

Grouse Mountain and Tyee Ski Club are proud to announce that our years of partnership have created and fostered some High Performance Athletes at the Provincial and National Team levels.  These Ski Racers have grown up on our hill in most cases graduating from our Ski Wee program on to the Tyee Ski Club.  They learned how to snow plow on The Cut and then whooped it up through the trees of Paper Trail.

Currently we have two Tyees, Kristina Natalenko and Antonia Wearmouth, racing on the BC Ski Team.  Sam Mulligan is racing for the National Development Team and Georgia Simmerling, who just came off her Bronze medal win in Track Team Pursuit at the Rio Olympics is back in action on the World Stage in Ski Cross.  All Four of these athletes are already very accomplished but are striving for even greater heights.  To get to the top you have to be skilled and driven but unfortunately that’s not enough.  The journey is an expensive one.  That’s where Grouse Mountain Resort ski enthusiasts come in.

It’s never been easier to help our top level athletes.  All you have to do is go to the link below and donate to Tyee’s fundraising project at the National Sports Trust Fund. NSTF is a registered charity whose mandate is to manage fundraising for amateur sport.  They are able to accept funds from donors and issue a tax receipt. NSTF provides funding to Tyee which Tyee is able to use to offer a bursary to high performing athletes.  This link takes you directly to the Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club donation page:

Racing at the Provincial and National Levels is the dream of many of our younger racers.  We are incredibly fortunate to have Tyee skiers who are reaching these heights already for our kids to look up to.  Thanks in advance for your continued support.
